About these terms
These terms apply when you book a stay, buy a gift voucher or arrange a function directly with CocknBull Boutique Hotel, whether online, by phone or by email. By making a booking you agree to them.
If you book through another site, such as Booking.com, that site's payment and cancellation terms apply to your booking. Our house rules still apply while you stay with us.
Bookings and payment
- All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
- Online bookings are made through our secure booking system. Confirm when payment is taken: in full at booking, a deposit, or on arrival.
- We accept credit cards and cash. Payments by American Express carry a 4% surcharge.
- Rates shown on our website are a guide and can change until your booking is confirmed.
- Returning guests receive 5% off when booking direct. Confirm how the discount is applied (code or on request).
Cancellations
To be confirmed by CocknBull. Current listings say: cancellations more than 15 days before arrival incur a $50 fee per booking; cancellations within 14 days are charged the first night; no refunds for no-shows or early departures. The online booking system currently shows "Free cancellation" on some rates. These must match before this page goes live.
If we ever need to cancel your booking, for example because of flooding or another event outside our control, we will refund what you have paid in full.
Check-in and check-out
- Check-in is from 2pm to 8pm. If you expect to arrive after 8pm, please let us know beforehand so we can arrange your check-in.
- Check-out is by 10am.
- Early check-in and late check-out may be possible on request, depending on availability.
- The person checking in must be 25 or older and show photo ID and a credit card.
Guests and occupancy
- Each suite has a maximum number of guests, shown when you book. Only registered guests may stay overnight.
- Children of any age are welcome, using the existing bedding. Infants under two stay free in a porta-cot.
- The Adelaide Suite is adults only.
House rules
- All suites are non-smoking, including balconies and terraces. Confirm whether smoking is allowed anywhere on the grounds.
- Pets are not allowed. Assistance animals are welcome.
- Parties and events in the suites are not permitted.
- Please keep noise down late at night, out of respect for other guests and our neighbours. Confirm quiet hours, if any.
- The pool is unsupervised and used at your own risk. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Confirm pool hours.
Damage and cleaning
Please treat the suites as you would your own home. The person who made the booking is responsible for any damage, missing items or cleaning beyond the usual, and we may charge the card provided at check-in to cover it. We will always tell you first. Confirm any set fees, for example for smoking in a suite.
Gift vouchers
- Gift vouchers are valid for three years from the date of purchase, and the expiry date is shown on the voucher. Australian law requires gift vouchers to be valid for at least three years.
- Vouchers can be used towards accommodation at CocknBull Boutique Hotel.
- Vouchers are subject to availability, cannot be exchanged for cash, and any unused balance stays on the voucher until it expires.
- We do not charge any fees after a voucher is bought.
- Please quote the voucher when you book, and bring it with you. Confirm how lost vouchers are handled.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for loss of or damage to your belongings, or for disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as weather, flooding or utility outages.
General
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book is the one that applies to your booking. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. How we handle your personal information is covered in our Privacy Policy.
